DMT/ALTA announces that it will now accept deposits in e-gold and other e-metals. The advantage of depositing e-gold into DMT is that transactions between DMT customers are only charged a fee of 1/10 of 1%, instead of the 1% fee charged by others. In addition, there is no yearly maintenance fee, such as the 1% yearly maintenance charged by others. Net-net, you pay less than 1/10th the cost by making transactions through DMT, with other DMT customers—Pay and Claim transactions. (DMT Pay transactions are charged 1/10 of 1%; DMT Claim transactions are not charged.) In addition, e-gold on deposit in DMT can be offered for sale on DMT/LESE, or bids for e-gold can be placed there, as long as you have a DMT/ALTA account denominated in e-gold. There is no DMT fee for transferring e-gold into a DMT account from outside the DMT system. Transfers out of the DMT system will, however, be charged 1%. Transfers into DMT from outside the DMT system take the form of payment to DMT's e-gold account number. Transfers out of the DMT system will be paid to any e-gold account number you specify in your transfer out instructions. Here is how it works. Create an Account: First create a new account in ALTA denominated in e-gold. Use the Transfer-In function of ALTA to create the account, and select "e-gold" (or "e-platinum" etc.) as the asset denomination. (You will need a separate account for each metal, if you are interested in more than one metal.) If you are not yet ready to Transfer-In e-gold now (or if you will initially only be receiving e-gold payments), put "0" for the amount to be transferred in. The system will then allow you to create the account, but will generate no Transfer-In instructions. Transfer In: If you wish to Transfer-In e-gold from an existing non-DMT e-gold account, simply use the Transfer-In function of ALTA. Select your DMT e-gold-denominated account as the account being transferred to, and at the end of the process the system will give you instructions: namely, the DMT e-gold number to which payment is to be made, and a Customer Reference Number which should be included in e-gold's optional message line. Do not fail to include your Customer Reference Number along with your e-gold payment to DMT! There is no DMT charge for transferring e-gold into the DMT/ALTA system. Pay: Payments within DMT to another DMT account are made to a Claim Number. The person receiving your payment will need to provide you with his or her Claim Number. Start by pressing the "Pay" button in ALTA. Payments will be charged 1/10 of 1%. Claim: Payments within DMT must be "claimed" (see DMT Problem Resolution for a simple explanation why). Click the Claim button, then click on the e-metal account for which you are expecting payment. There is no fee for making claims. Transfer Out: If you wish to move your e-gold out of the DMT system entirely, to pay to a non-DMT customer, then use the Transfer Out function of ALTA. Hit the Transfer Out button, and follow the instructions. It will ask for the e-gold account number to be paid to, as well as give you an optional message line. DMT will then make the payment on your behalf. LESE: If you wish to offer e-gold for sale on LESE, or you wish to bid for e-gold for US dollars, you will need to transfer some portion of these assets into LESE. Click on the account in ALTA to go to the Account Management page, then click on the button that says "LESE Enable." Then log into LESE and make the transfer from your ALTA account to LESE from there. You can then post bids and offers on LESE if you wish. That's it. Use the DMT system and save! |
